Originally trained at the University of Medical Sciences of Camagüey, Cuba, Dr. Suarez Lopez was inspired to pursue medicine by his mother, who dreamed of becoming a doctor but was unable to, and by his uncle, an orthopedic physician who became a powerful role model. Determined to honor his family’s dream and driven by curiosity about the human body, he chose a challenging path that ultimately brought him to the United States.
