Ginya (NA Miata) - The Forever Car

Описание к видео Ginya (NA Miata) - The Forever Car

In 1990 Jim purchased a '91 model year Miata while he was flying for the U.S. Navy. The car was well loved, often driven on backroads and as a daily driver. The NA was given the name Ginya—"silver arrow" in Japanese—and today has nearly 350,000 miles on her chassis. Over past 15 years, Ginya has been substantially rebuilt and upgraded, with an eye to “spirited driving” and an "aviation esthetic." Major modifications include a race-built engine and head. Ginya is one of the first MX-5s to be registered as a Historical Vehicle in California. She is also the only car to win “Best of Show - Modified Miata” three years in a row (2015, 2016, and 2017) at the Miata Reunion, North America’s largest MX-5 event. In 2019, Ginya was 1 of 3 cars invited to be in the event's first-ever Winners Circle!

Ginya is a special car—the result of a lot of hard work and dedicated ownership. Moss is honored to feature Ginya in our latest parts catalog.

While Jim and Ginya were enjoying the spotlight we thought it would be fun and worthwhile to take it a step further. We enlisted the talents of John Linney of @classicmotorfilms to capture the spirit of Ginya and the depth of the passion of the car's one and only owner.

We hope you enjoy this tribute to the joy of Miata motoring.
