Local rail fans will understand why I love these two short clips. In Addison Illinois, there is an industrial lead that branches off the Canadian National Freeport Sub. The track is a little more than a mile long and it travels north and then curves west. At Fullerton Avenue there is a protected crossing but at Lomard Road, the crossing has only a RR crossbuck with an "exempt' sign. I was able to catch the local heading back to the main. Interestingly, the locomotive was in the middle of the train and was a big orange "EJ&E." ( an SD38-3 ) I had been driving by, saw the train, pulled into a parking spot and had the camera running as I approached the tracks. The first clip has the real action, but the second clip allows a glimpse of how the track curves east just before rejoining the main.
