Sir Asim Aziz was requested to explain the concept of how societies can bring out more plots than what they actually possess. He said that some societies have, for instance, 1000 kanals of land. From this 1000 Kanals, they can prepare a maximum of 500 plots and sell them to the general public. Nevertheless, there are societies that have sold 5,000 files for the same 1,000 Kanals. Some have information that has been sold in half a million files. This is clearly fraudulent. They demand a token amount of 1,20,000 and another 17,000 in monthly installments, as per the plan. Mr. Asim said that I believe that investments are possible only in the past but not in the future.

This is a very important question for any customer to ask when he/she wants to purchase a plot from any society. The first question is concerned with the positions of the plots regarding the laws. If a society has sold more plots than the land they possess, they did not proffer registry and transfer to their customers. If they had, it would have been impossible to have customers book plots of land that were more than the available ones.

The customers should always insist on their registry and transfer from the society for their own good in order to protect their investment. Alternatively, for societies that have not formed a NOC and those selling many plots, it is crucial to grasp the fact that such plots are invalid. In similar circumstances, customers should also insist that their registry and transfer be done to protect their funds. Get your plot from that approved plan right now and make yourself safe. And if this is also not possible, then reselling your file can also be an option. If it was borrowed, take it back to society or go back to the real estate agent who took it.
