Today we're going to take a look at the Powerbuilt Adjustable Tire Step, part number ALL647596. Let's take a closer look here, looks about 22" overall in width and overall height will be about 4 1/2". That's all the area you need to store. It's a compact unit. Let's go ahead, unfold it and try it out. Pretty simple.

In a few seconds it's ready to go. We can step on it, do whatever we need to do on top of the vehicle with this in place, plenty strong. You get easy access to either wash the top of that car where it's a little hard to get to when you're on the ground or give a little easier access to any rooftop accessories you have. We'll show you how it works, it's pretty simple. Your tire fits in this area right here and this bar rests behind the backs of the tire.

That's what gives it it's strength. On the outside here you got a couple of rubber bumpers to protect the surface of your tires or your rims. Sometimes tires are wider than preset, so we have some adjustment right here. All I got to do is pull on these little pins right here, this little clip, remove the pin. There's one on each side and we can make it fit a wider tire. Once it has selection made, go ahead and put your pins back in and then it clips.

We got our adjustment holes here, and there are increments of about 1 1/4". This will work with tire sizes up to 13" as maximum width. This is designed to work on tires that you typically find on SUVs, motorhomes and trucks. That's the not the only place we have adjustment on. If we want we can also move up the steps a couple positions.

Each position is an increment of 4 3/4". We can have our step raised up to the top, and even reach over the top of our vehicle even more. One last detail to look at is the actual tread right here where your shoes go. It does have a lot of depth to it, it's actually rather gnarly. We got our step in the lowest position. We'll go ahead and adjust it next up to its highest position to give you get a better idea of what's going on, how useful this is. All right. When it's in its highest position you're much closer to the top of the tire, still just as strong and a lot safer. This actually has a great capacity of up to 300 pounds.
