Crazy Kingfish Session on the Hobie Lynx

This video captures a crazy session on the Kingies and also Snapper on our local grounds off Cronulla. ET and I headed out on the Hobie Lynx armed with some heavy duty Shimano Grappler rods and spin gear to target the Kings. At the time the bait fish school were in plague proportions and the Kings were in and amongst them giving them a hard time. The previous week I had been scuba diving at Oak Park and noticed Kings coming in and out of the Yakka schools looking for a feed.
This session was non stop and We would have landed over a dozen Kings in a couple of hours. I also landed a nice pan sized Snapper and got dusted on a few Kings that made it to the bottom. Talk about an adrenalin packed session.
Within minutes of dropping our baits we were in the thick of the action. Yakka schools were bursting like showers all over the surface and we had a cracking time.
This arguably was my favourite sessions of the year. Catching Kings on Hobies is a whole new ball game and we were towed around behind the Rat Kings who were in a frenzy.

On the video you will see me just flop a piece of squid right next to my Lynx to a passing King and hook up straight away. Most fish were rats but we also got crunched by a few bigger specimens.
