People act like dropshipping is some infinite money-printing machine. It’s not. There are really only two ways it plays out.

Option one: arbitrage. You find a product, list it cheaper, and undercut. But that’s just a race to the bottom. Margins shrink, someone beats your price, and eventually you abandon the store to start all over again.

Option two: you try to build a brand. Better ads, prettier website, maybe strong socials. But the second you get traction, someone copies your exact playbook. And unless you’ve got your own product—your own moat—they’ll siphon off your sales.

That’s the truth: dropshipping isn’t a scam. It’s just not endlessly scalable. At some point, you’ll have to pivot—either spin up another short-term store with a new product, or take the leap and create something original if you want it to last.
