HALAL CHICKEN CHAR SIEW | SHERSON LIAN

This is for those who’ve always wondered what’s the craze over #CharSiew, and not been able to taste it. Well this is as close as it gets, I can’t lie and say that it’s 100% the same coz it’s a different #protein altogether but it’s definitely as close as it gets and it’s an amazing recipe to keep in your kitchen for an amazing grilled chicken dish.

Ingredients:
- 4 Boneless chicken legs
- 3 Cloves garlic
- 1 Inch of ginger
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Hoisin sauce
- 1 Tablespoon maltose
- 1 Tablespoon fermented bean curd
- 5 Tablespoons sugar
- 5 Teaspoons spice powder
- 1 Teaspoon white pepper
- 1 Tablespoon dark caramel
