Founded by Padmashree awardee Geshe Thupten Phuntsok, Manjushree Vidyapeeth has been offering formal education to children who have lost their parents, children who are too poor to afford school, and children with special needs since 1998. When Geshe Phuntsok first started his orphanage, he had in his care 17 children. Starting from exceedingly humble beginnings and faced with many obstacles and hardships, today under his leadership the school takes care of over 300 Children. Let us meet Geshe la up close as he takes us through his arduous but rewarding journey.
