Semi-trailer FGM 37 GWP designed to transport telescopic boom lifts

Thanks to the cooperation between FGM Trailers and OMEC a leading company in the rental market for material handling equipment; we are glad to introduce the new semi-trailer FGM 37 GWP designed to transport a wide range of work platforms. This new model comes up in two versions, FGM 37 GWP RG a light rigid chassis semi low loader and FGM 37 GWP XS which is the extendable version capable to transport telescopic boom lifts up to 50 mt of platform height.

Advantages and benefits for the European market:

• Axles’ position has been optimized to get a balanced loading weight between the kingpin and rear side of the semi-trailer.
Most of commercial semi low loaders come out with axles’ position that distributes too much weight on the axles when loading work platforms.
This aspect creates several problems such as: overloading on the axles against maximum limits set by EU regulations, low weight on kingpin which may result on loss of traction on the towing truck especially under rain and icy conditions, increased tires consumption due to the overloading.

• Wheel recess designed to load every type of mobile crane 2 axles up to 35 ton of total weight, telescopic boom lifts up to 40 mt of platform height for the rigid version and up to 50 mt for the extendable version.

• New lashing point system which avoids the waste of space on the loading platform caused by the traditional lashing ring.

• Light chassis is built using high strength steel Domex 500 and 700 in order to increase the payload by decreasing the tare weight of the trailer. Notwithstanding the great amount of accessories ( Double rear ramps, hydraulic pull winch, lifting ramps to get on gooseneck, wheel recess, zinc-coated surface treatment etc..). FGM 37 GWP RG weighs only 10.800 kg with a useful loading platform length of 10 mt, the extendable version weights 12.300 Kg.

• Perforated anti slip sheet metal decks that provide the best possible gripping for loading operation under extreme weather during winter time with icy conditions.
