About the conference
Every year, we invite regulators from the European Commission, member states and many more stakeholders along the value chain to join our Global Sustainability Conference. In its14th edition, we brought together over 1200 participants in Brussels and online.

During this 2-day event, we discussed challenges and solutions, how regulatory frameworks are developing and trends we might be facing around a major obstacle of our time: climate change.

Climate change has been happening all along and requires action and a focus on improving environmental, societal, and economic factors. ISCC, as a leading sustainability and carbon certification system, can bring credibility and transparency to these actions. From substituting fossil-based materials with non-conventional alternatives, to greenhouse gas emission savings, chain of custody options and many more, ISCC verifies that actions are taken towards greater sustainability and transparency in global supply chains.

Three distinct streams enabled our participants to dive deep into market-specific topics:
1. Regulatory developments in the European Union: renewable fuels of non-biological origin, the role of bioethanol, the Union Database, the Renewable Energy Directive III and ISCC EU
2. Circular and bio economy: the impact of regulations, ISCC PLUS and its application by brand owners
3. Sustainable marine and aviation fuels: market updates and policy frameworks

The conference has been a huge success for us and our stakeholders. We appreciate our participants, stakeholders and association members commitment in supporting the evolution of the certification standard. Together, we will further promote it around the world to make the supply of certified materials, supply chain transparency and decarbonisation measures grow – for a greener tomorrow.
