Our goal? Catch a Smallmouth Bass over 6 pounds and break our personal bests.

In this episode, we hit the legendary Mille Lacs Lake, Minnesota — home to some of the biggest and hardest-fighting smallmouth in the world. The morning bite was hot, but once the wind and waves picked up, things got tough. Just when we thought the day was over… we hooked into a Giant 5 lb 10 oz Smallmouth Bass!

It wasn’t quite the 6-pounder we were after, but it shattered our best of the year and gave us hope that the next trip could be the one.
