There is a lot of diversity on BookTube; people from all over the world, from different backgrounds and with different perspectives talking about books, and that is reflected in the diversity of books that are talked about on Booktube. Which makes it all the more surprising – suspicious, even – that these 4 amazing authors I’m going to feature in this video are never talked about on BookTube. Now, 2 of the authors are translated from other languages, so I might be able to understand why they’ve passed under the radar of English-language readers; but the other 2 authors are from the US; one from the latter half of the 20th century, one contemporary. I’m wearing a hoodie today, because I got a bad haircut, and instead of quitting YouTube because of my bad haircut, I figured I’ll try a hoodie.
