This is a game where students are allowed to move around the room while trying to tag others gently on the shoulder. The only rule is they can ONLY MOVE ON BEAT ONE. If they are successful, the other person has to sit down where they were tagged. If it is a tie, they both sit down. The teacher must watch if students are tagging on beat 1 and later beats 1AND 3 towards the end. This is a great class ender and reward for upper elementary and older students. Alternatively, you can also play with scarves. The goal is to collect as many scarves once you tag the person on the shoulder with your hand. The person with the most scarves at the end wins. Just be sure the students understand that you don't swing the scarves at other students. If you tie, both sit down AND anyone can collect the scarves on beat 1 (later beats 1 and 3).
