Avon Pike Project - Part 2 Bites on the Backwater!

Part 2 follows myself and angling buddy Darryl as we find the main river in the fields and are forced to head to a backwater.

Pick-ups from pike don't take long in coming but our percentage rate of fish in the net to missed or lost fish isn't very good. As I mentioned in the first video, this is a learning curve for me and this new environment means having to beef the kit up whilst finding that bites can be so, so difficult to spot.

The weather as well wasn't very favourable with Carol getting things completely wrong once again, as the rain forecast for 4pm arrived soon after we arrived, on what was at that time a glorious dawn.

Although fishing live-baits for perch and zander isn't something Im unfamiliar with, having to match the hatch, and present these for pike is. Mistakes are made, lessons are learnt and by the time the third video is released things have been ironed out and the bite ratio to fish landed is an area that Im happy with.
