The cast of 'My House,' a TV show on Viceland, knows how important having a safe space is for the LGBTQ community. The television stars Precious Ebony and Alex Mugler were seen as outcasts in society, but the ballroom dance scene gave them the chance for a 'freedom of self-expression' and a place for them to truly be themselves.

My House from Vice follows ball in New York City in 2018. It gets inspiration from the 1991 documentary 'Paris Is Burning,' which took a look at '80s ball culture in NYC. The 'My House' stars say having a show like theirs on programmed tv is a good first step toward representation, but there's still a ways to go.
