Wood Rot Repair on Door | How to Repair Door with Rotted Wood

Repair the rot rather than replace the door! Big Savings!!!! Eventually exterior wood doors and windows will rot. Knowing how to repair rotted wood on doors or windows can be a huge factor in the life span of the door. All we needed to repair the door was wood, paint and glue. The glue can be found on Amazon:

The project was fairly simple in that the goal was to cut out the rotted section and replace it with new cedar wood which is rot resistant. To make the process easier, we ut out a rectangular section which would accommodate a rectangular section of new wood. The job takes a little patience but is certainly a DIY task if you are patient.
