Recently on twitter, people have been wondering why sites like for instance Gobekli Tepe were partially reburied after excavations.
Many people think that this is done because of nefarious reasons, like for instance the archaeologists are hiding things they don’t want us to find out.
But is that really the case? Or is reburial of ancient sites something that’s being done a lot and actually has been done for a long time?
