Sit Fly Progression up to 7 hours

Описание к видео Sit Fly Progression up to 7 hours

Sit fly was the hardest to learn out of the progression by far. I STILL feel like I'm working to get any level of stability with sit. In the progression, you can see the difference for sure, but over the last 1-2 tunnel hours I feel like I have been stuck. VFS (flying with others in a time-limited, training competition) will be a good way for me to improve this, so I have started flying VFS leagues 2-3 days a month.

The hardest thing about sit fly is the slow progression and the shear number of limbs you have to manage in the wind. As Mikey says, it's like trying to shoot an arrow backward unlike learning head down which is shooting the arrow head first! We start learning sit around 72% and I am now flying up to 85% with some increasing stability, but this keeps getting challenged as the wind goes up and I fly with other people. I fly a loit of sit with other people which requires learning how the wind changes with other people in the tunnel and how to handle burbles.

Sit is the fundamental flight position for head down as it allows you to bail into a safe position. Goal for sit flying is 88% wind speed and the ability to totally control direction, heading and height (seems like this will never happen some days :)
