London, probably Pathe Studio.

A man with a cod American accent (looks like Ronald Frankau) introduces comedian Robb Wilton.

Opening shot shows Robb lowering an upside-down newspaper to reveal his face. Various shots of Robb as he does a humorous monologue with piano accompaniment, talking about how long he has been out of work (he wonders if he has ever had a job) and how his wife has a husband to keep. He goes on to tell of how he is prone to colds, then gets deaf and can't hear, but he heard someone offer him a drink when he had a cold. He talks of a conversation he had with this man in a pub, about girls they had met - Robb described "a sweet bird dressed in red" and the man got mad as he was about to marry her (he goes into a familiar "I said who, he said you, I said me, he said yes" bit of patter).

Robb talks of when he and Jim Lowe married twins Maudie and Flo, then got their wives mixed up; the one Robb ended up with turned out to have £10,000 and he said "she'll do". He goes on to talk about sailing and being caught in a sinking ship where the Captain wouldn't allow him onto the lifeboat.
