Pitch Down Sanken CO-100K vs Sennheiser MKH8040 vs Rode NTG3 vs Schoeps CCM41

Описание к видео Pitch Down Sanken CO-100K vs Sennheiser MKH8040 vs Rode NTG3 vs Schoeps CCM41

Using a Sound Devices 788T with a sampling rate of 192 kHz I recorded 4 channels of audio from the Sanken CO-100K, Sennheiser MKH 8040, Rode NTG3, and Schoeps CCM41 microphones. The sound was me breaking a laptop monitor resulting in a subtle crunch which I then pitch down 2 octaves in Izotope RX5. The video demonstrates the difference with capturing inaudible frequencies beyond the human hearing range with the MKH 8040 and CO-100K mics and why capturing such high frequencies can be important when you want to pitch down sounds during the sound design process.
