On 27 March 2023, the Swiss Polar Institute organised a workshop on the issue of impact of scientific fieldwork in the polar regions. The discussion engaged with environmental and carbon footprints of fieldwork and explored avenues for generating positive impact and cleaner approaches for data acquisition.
