These Martian blues?

Going somewhere dangerous and deadly cold
I’ll have no choice except to set out brave and bold
And leave the earthly comforts of this high-tech box
And step out in a freezing world of dust and rocks
And desolation up and down and everywhere
And look to see if any signs of life are there
…. In the rocks all bare
….. I’ll be well-prepared
…. If I’m not too scared

Going somewhere where I’ll move in leaps and bounds
Suited up and weighing only 60 pounds
So I hope, but I still I have to get there first
For all my travels, I still haven’t faced the worst,
To hurtle down on fire in the entry flight
And pray for a safe touchdown at the landing site
