Nationwide, we are short 3.8 million homes. That's a huge number. This lack of inventory drives up home prices, sparks bidding wars, and makes affordability a pipe dream for many middle and lower-income households. While we have seen a slight increase in inventory, we have a long way to go.
Building more single-family homes needs to become a top priority.

Reforming outdated zoning policies and incentivizing builders could help create more affordable homes and a more balanced housing market.

I certainly don't have all the answers, or probably any, for that matter, but I know we need more supply in the housing market to meet buyer demand.
