Here are the five primary reasons that I changed my mind and decided NOT to go to medical school and go to Nurse Practitioner school instead. Med school is a huge commitment, and one that is a great choice for many, but it is also has immense impacts on your life not only as a med student, but as a resident and future attending as well. After completing requirements for my premed advising I shadowed a medical resident, which lead me to switch my career to nursing, which ultimately lead to my career as a family nurse practitioner. If you are a considering medical school or going the nurse practitioner student route, my hope is this video will give you clarity on your choice
