In 1965 she was discovered by Alain Boublil & Christian Fechner. In France she released several EP:s and singles, performed at Olympia and appeared at several music festivals.
After returning to Sweden in the late 60s she was part of the vocal ensemble in Spader, Madame! by Hasse & Tage.
She began her collaboration with Swedish top producer Anders "Henkan" Henriksson (Midnight Sun Electric Orchestra/Container). Together they released music with Karin as solo artist and started "Multimusik record company". They made albums including Sommarfilosoferna, Svenne & Lotta, Ablution and Baltik where she sings Ocean Blue (feat. Tomas Ledin), Janne Lucas, Yellow Pages Geordie, Peter Lundblad, Karin Stigmark med kompisar and more.
Karin started the quartet Ajax, consisting of Karin, Beverly Glenn, Peter Lundblad & Göran Wiklund. They were the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest choir in 1974 and the first to sing Waterloo in public - before ABBA (Waterloo - English version).
Karin sang backing vocals on many recordings as part of "Superbirds" *** (Beverly Glenn & Lotta Hedlund) from 1971-2001. Their last recording was Cry No More Tears

As a composer and lyricist she’s had more than 50 songs recorded by various artists: Åh Evergreens, Please tell me, Jag vill hem till julen (With Bells On), Säg kan du tro på mig.

AJAX was a Swedish vocal group consisting of Karin Stigmark, Beverly Glenn, Peter Lundblad & Göran Wiklund.
They appeared on several "STAR recordings”, including ”Svensktoppar”, ”Svensktoppen 1-3”, ”Kavalkad 1-3” & ”Star Hits 1-5” where they sang most of the songs.
These were albums presenting cover versions of popular hits, mainly in Swedish.

The legacy of ”Superbirds".

*** "Superbirds", three soulful background singers from Sweden, including Karin Stigmark, Lotta Hedlund & Beverly Glenn.
Their first recording was made in 1971. They were the first in Sweden to back up artists and songs that sounded like soul & r'n'b. (Before Swedes knew what that was).
Beverly and Lotta came from the US in the mid 60s and brought gospel (the foundation of soul). The rest is history. ❤️🎶🎤
