Judy Garland made two guest appearances in this Lorenz Hart & Richard Rodgers musical biopic. She sang I Wish I Were in Love Again with her old pal, Mickey Rooney and was called back on stage looking much fuller and healthier for Johnny One Note. Johnny One Note was not filmed until several months later after preview audiences demanded she have an encore. During this time, Judy had had some much needed R&R and as a result, had put on a bit of weight. The difference in appearance between scenes is jarring at first, but that smooth Garland voice carries it through seamlessly.
