An electrifying event reverberated through halls of Chinamayananda Centre on a bright winter morning. As scores of bright eyed students entered the hall with a dream larger than life, the journey of UPSC was discussed with much vigour. GS SCORE in collaboration with THE HINDU, and Festa invited DU students to a day filled with thought provoking range of activities. The congregation was embraced by IFS Apala Mishra who guided the students with impactful snippets from her journey. In an illuminating exchange between the students and the esteemed guest, the importance of study- life balance was ruminated upon.

The gathering buzzed with questions from UPSC aspirants eager to know how to approach the UPSC journey parallel along with their bachelor degree. GS SCORE’s Faculty for Anthropology Sourabh Mishra and Sociology Faculty for Sociology Smriti Rao addressed 70 colleges and over 12 societies. The event saw the active participation of societies from DU - NUKE The debating society, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, University of Delhi, Sociisoforum – The Sociology SPCM DU Ednita, Invictus – The Commerce Society MSCW, Quest The quizzing society, Enactus ANDC, Commcentric, Kamala Nehru college, SAE – DTU, Girlup Nitara, Ekonomiko , Advaita, Bharati college, 180 degrees Consulting Daulat Ram college, Prarambh The Civil Services preparation society, Ascend The Entrepreneurship cell, UPSC Guidance Cell University of Delhi, Comsoc The Commerce society, The Entrepreneurship cell Lady Irwin College, The Commerce Society SGTB Khalsa.

Through an intellectually stimulating line up, GS SCORE elaborated on the challenges faced by UPSC aspirants in their journey and enlightened the crowd with an effective way to approach the exam without having to compromise with their academic pursuit. A carefully crafted 2 year programme split into 4 semesters was discussed, with major emphasis laid on capacity enhancement, skill development, time management, content refinement, managing uncertainty of the examination and most importantly the role of a good mentor in realizing the dream in a structured way.
