🎣 Phishing Campaign Awareness Project

In this project, I demonstrate how real-world phishing attacks are designed, delivered, and detected purely for education and defense. I built a custom phishing email using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, carefully applying social-engineering psychology such as Authority, Fear, and Urgency to show why users often fall victim to these attacks.

To simulate a realistic environment, I used Postfix and GoPhish to run a controlled phishing campaign, track user interaction, and analyze results just like a blue team or SOC analyst would during a security awareness exercise.

The project also focuses heavily on defense and prevention, where I explain:
• How email spoofing works and how DMARC helps stop it
• How to detect phishing attempts using headers, domains, and behavior analysis
• How organizations can analyze phishing campaigns and improve user awareness
• Why human behavior is a major factor in phishing success

This project is designed to help beginners, students, and organizations understand phishing from both the attacker’s tactics and the defender’s perspective, turning awareness into real security improvement.
