China’s premier online video streaming company, LeTV, has ventured into the smartphone market, releasing three Android handsets on Tuesday afternoon in Beijing. The company is the latest in a string of domestic companies to enter into the country’s booming smart phone market. But company executives say they are more concerned about building an interconnected, open platform for their phones.
