Zayn Malik - There's something missing.

Yeah, what can I say? There are not much words needed right now, I guess..

I started this video this morning with the thought of Zayn taking a break. And with the thought that he might come back soon. That he was actually leaving the band were only rumours at that time. But then, when I was almost done with this video, I got a message from my sister with a text saying: “Go to facebook. Zayn IS leaving the band.” So I went on facebook and I saw their message. I started reading it, but after two sentences I stopped. I don’t know why, but for some reason I couldn’t read it. Maybe there was still a little hope in me that thought there’s still a chance of Zayn coming back. And maybe I knew that if I would’ve read that whole text, that little hope in me would disappear. Even though I already knew for days that he was leaving. A part of me just knew it. I told my sister a few days ago: “If Zayn isn’t going to take a long break, then it won’t be long before he’s leaving. Maybe he won’t be there anymore before the next tour. Or maybe not even the next album. Or maybe even sooner.” And I was right. Today is the day that he left. One Direction isn’t Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis and Zayn anymore. One Direction isn’t One Direction anymore. At least not for me. One Direction isn’t One Direction without Zayn. Without any of the boys. I’m not saying that I won’t be a fan anymore. They’ll still be my favorite band. But will it be different? Oh yes, it will be. It’s weird seeing them perform with only the four of them. And it will be weird hearing them without the perfect high notes of Zayn.
But even though I’m really sad right now, I respect his decision. If he thinks this is the best for him then he did the right thing. And I really hope he did.

We won’t forget about you, Zayn. You’ll always be a part of One Direction, of our lives. Whether you’re still around or not. We love you.
