An Ohio woman called 911 on Thursday to report that she had a boa constrictor wrapped around her face.

According to audio obtained by Cleveland 19 News, the woman told dispatch the five-foot long rescued serpent was biting her nose.

She claimed there was blood everywhere, apparently from the bite.

“I’ve never heard of this before,” the 911 dispatcher responded.

Firefighters told CBS affiliate station WAFB they arrived at the victim’s Sheffield Lake home to find her laying in her driveway with the snake wrapped around her neck.

The reptile’s head had to be cut off to get it off the woman, according to the news station.

Dennis Bring, mayor of Sheffield Lake, told the news outlet he was thrilled with how first responders handled the situation
