Pac Man World: Ghost Island Hub & Level 2: Corsair's Cove

Описание к видео Pac Man World: Ghost Island Hub & Level 2: Corsair's Cove

After beating Buccaneer Beach, you're taken to the main hub area of Ghost Island, where you can reach others levels.

Only 3 sections of the hub are unlocked at the start, Pirate, Ruins, and Space. As you go through each level of each area, the next level within that same area will be unlocked. This keeps going until the last level of that area, which is a boss level. Beat the first three bosses of this level to advance further through the hub.
----------

In the Pirate section, after beating Buccaneer Beach, you can move on to Corsair's Cove. There's a lot of water here for Pac-Man to swim in, but again, he can't drown in this game, so take your time.

Be aware of the boxes and treasure chests you find underwater. You have to get the Chrome powerup in order to brake those chests open with a Butt Bounce.

Try to unlock every Fruit Door you find. If you don't have the match Bonus Fruit for the door, search for it! It's always worth it.

In particular, be mindful of Galaxian doors. If you can get those unlocked, you'll go through a Maze. Just get all of the Pac-Dots and Power Pellets in the Maze while avoiding Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde as much as you can, though you can also try to take the time and eat them with a Power Pellet, or find more Bonus Fruit wandering around. Also be careful that any damage you take in these mazes carries back over into the main level.

A new pickup first seen in Corsair's Cove are 6 letters; P, A, C, M, A, N, spelling out Pac-Man's name, get all of these letters before completing the level, and you'll go through a Bonus Level where you gave to get all of the Bonus Fruit (and any 1-UPs you come across) before time runs out.
----------

There will continue to be times where you encounter ghosts, usually on fields that have rows of Pac-Dots, if not an outright mini-maze, that you usually have to activate with a switch. If you don't see a Power Pellet nearby to help you deal with the ghosts, you'll either have to go further out for one, or have to do something else to make one appear.

Ghosts of different colors can and will appear in the main section of every level, but our favorite red, blue, pink, and orange ghosts will show up several times throughout the game, too.
----------

Besides the Bell and the Galaxian being among the more unusual Bonus "Fruits", you can also find a Key, one each in every area of Ghost Island. Instead of using it on a door (ironically), you'll use each key to unlock a cage that one of Pac-Man's friends is trapped in. If they're nowhere in the level you're in now, they will likely be in the next one, instead, and they're most found sometime before the level's end. This Pirate area is actually one such example of this exact process.

These friends you rescue are also important for getting further through Ghost Island. After all, that's why Pac-Man's there to begin with!
