Remote 'Generator' Start. Adding a smart switch to the Phoenix Inverter.

Before we go away for a short holiday break, I have to come up with a solution to remotely turn on and off the Victron Phoenix inverter. The current energy production is not enough to supply sufficient power to the hot water system, and I have to add additional energy from the 2nd battery system through the Phoenix Inverter. I want to do that remotely/automatically without bothering my guests.
So, I came up with this idea to install a small Sonoff Smart Switch in the inverter and control it remotely that way. Will it work?
