Non-Skill Inheritance/Seals Challenge
This challenge calls for beating a Grand Hero Battle without inherited skills and the use of seals. The same also applies for Lv.40+ units.

Azura 5 stars (-Spd +Def) Lv.40

Skills: Sapphire Lance+ Sing Speed +3 Fortify Res 3
Azura is here to use sing on our units to get them into better positions. Fortify Res isn’t that necessary, but it does give Camilla a bit more Res to tank hits from the green cavalier. If we needed more attack power, she would be substituted for Olivia.

Camilla 5 Stars (+Atk -HP) Lv.40

Skills: Brave Axe+ Dragon Gaze Darting Blow 3 Savage Blow 3
Camilla does a lot of work here. She is here to get rid of the Bow fighter, weaken Narcian so that our 3 star Narcian can kill him, and finish off the green cavalier. She is using Dragon Gaze to weaken Narcian to killing range, as Draconic Aura would activate twice and kill him.

Linde 5 Stars (+Res -Def) Lv.40
Stats: HP 35 Atk 49 Spd 36 Def 11 Res 30
Skills: Aura Ardent Sacrifice
I never taught Linde her base A or C skills, so I removed the inherited skills from her for this challenge. Not that it matters too much. Linde is mainly here to use Ardent Sacrifice on Camilla so she does not die during enemy phase. She also gets rid of the Sword Fighter and Blue cavalier.

As the challenge says, Narcian is here to kill the Lv. 35 Narcian. That’s about all he does here. If he did not do enough damage to kill Narcian, then I would substitute Azura for Olivia for Hone Atk 3.

The strategy
Turn 1 – Camilla gets res boosted from Azura and moves below the Bow Fighter. Azura moves to Camilla’s left side and Sings. Camilla moves up and kills the Bow Fighter. Savage Blow activates and weakens Narcian. Linde moves into position to use Ardent Sacrifice on Camilla, while Narcian moves into position to attack the other Narcian. On enemy phase, Narcian will attack Camilla and get hit with Dragon Gaze. The two cavaliers will attack Camilla, but the green cavalier is the only one that will deal damage. The sword fighter will start moving down.

Turn 2 – Camilla moves down towards Linde and Azura. Linde uses Ardent Sacrifice for insurance. Narcian is moved into position to attack the enemy Narcian on turn 3. On enemy phase, Narcian will attack Camilla again. Camilla will weaken him enough for our Narcian to kill the enemy Narcian. The remaining enemies will start moving to attack the party.

Turn 3 – Camilla will move under the forest tile where the enemies are coming from. Linde moves in and kills the sword fighter. Narcian moves where Camilla was and kills the enemy Narcian. Azura moves below Camilla to use sing on her next turn. On enemy phase, the two cavaliers will move closer to the party.

Turn 4 – Camilla moves onto the forest tile and waits there so that Azura can use sing on her. From there, Camilla moves to kill the green cavalier. Important to note that she attacks on the mountain tile so that she does not block Linde. Linde moves in and kills the Blue Cavalier. If using Linde could not take the attacks, then turn 5 would be Camilla finishing off the Blue Cavalier instead.

A fairly smooth challenge. The main issue was figuring out a way to not kill Narcian with Draconic Aura. I ended up just swapping it for Dragon Gaze. This is so that Camilla wouldn’t get Dragon Gaze during turn 2 enemy phase and kill Narcian (mainly because Draconic Aura’s 3 turn cooldown gave Camilla the skill right as Narcian hit her on turn 2 enemy phase, killing him in the process). The main worry was Narcian not being able to kill his enemy counterpart, due to being a 3 star. Thankfully I didn’t need to waste the feathers to promote him to a 4 star.

I am pretty happy that I was able to beat this Grand Hero Battle, since I didn’t have strong enough units when it first came around. Narcian is pretty average though. Oh well, better than rolling an Arthur. Again.
