Building a large medieval door (My life long dream door)

I always wanted a thick solid door from the medieval period. After pricing a door for my shop, I was shocked at the quotes ranging from 15k to 25k. I hunkered down in CAD, designed my own, and went to work in the shop using traditional tools along side a CNC router and CNC plasma. Even though I am an amateur woodworker, I am diving right into the lion's den. My dream door build is finally under way. Winter is coming!

I used 12/4 rough sawn mahogany that I got a really good deal on ($4.79 a board foot).
This is episode one of a two episode series on how I built my dream door.

Note to the purist: I think it's obvious there were not computers and CNCs in the middle ages. This build was never intended to use medieval methods or tools. Please check the about section "using a digital workflow" - entire point of my channel. At no time did I mention I was building medieval door with medieval tools. If you want to build a medieval door with medieval tools, by all means, go make a video and share it with us :)
