The video showcases the traditional production process of Xuan Paper. In China, the making of Xuan Paper has a history of over a thousand years. Its raw materials are the bark of the wingceltis tree and rice straw from sandy fields.workers repeatedly soak, steam, and beat the raw materials to remove impurities, then turn them into pulp. After that, the pulp is poured into a water tank. Workers stir the pulp to control its concentration, ensuring the fibers are evenly distributed to prepare for the subsequent paper-fishing step.when entering the paper-fishing stage, craftsmen hold bamboo paper screens, quickly scoop them in the pulp tank, and make the fibers evenly attach to the screens to form a thin layer of paper. Next comes the paper-pressing stage: the newly fished wet paper sheets are stacked into piles, pressed with wooden boards to squeeze out excess water, and the paper takes its initial shape.finally, there is the paper-drying stage. The pressed paper sheets are separated one by one and pasted on specially made drying walls, then dried using charcoal fire or natural temperature. The dried paper sheets are what we call Xuan Paper.
