Senbutsu Stalactite Cave JAPAN - 千仏洞, 見晴台, 北九州市

Senbutsu stalactite cave is located in Hiraodai, Kitakyushu, Kyushu, Japan.

The path open for the public is 1.2km long (so you walk 2.4km in the cave to go in and out, around 1.5 hours), after the first 900m there is no more light so you need to have waterproof headlights if you want to proceed.

The temperature inside the cave is a constant 16 degrees Celsius and the water is 14 degrees. If you proceed further to the part with no lights you will definitely get wet as it has narrow passages with water so if you have some neoprene clothing will definitely help you cope with the cold.

Definitely a worthwhile caving experience, don't miss it if you are in the area! Entrance ¥800.
