EVERY Great Fairy Location: Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time ✔

Every Great Fairy Fountain Location in the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, for the Nintendo 64. Also applies to the 3DS remake as well. Not to be comfused with the regular Fairy Fountains All SIX Great Fairy Fountains in order of accessibility. Featuring the Magic Spin Attack, Din's Fire, Farore's Wind, Enhanced Magic Meter, Nayru's Love, and Enhanced Defence. It should be noted that there are in fact only four Great Fairies; one of which rewards three separate magic spells. Bear in mind, even after acquiring a magic spell, returning to a Great Fairy will fully heal your health and magic meter.

1. Great Fairy of Power: Magic Spin Attack - Death Mountain Trail.

Requires: Zelda's Lullaby, Bombs. Scale the top of Death Mountain and bomb the wall to the left of the entrance to Death Mountain Crater. Play 'Zelda's Lullaby on the Triforce symbol to get your first magic spell, which is essential for completing the game.

2. Great Fairy of Magic: Din's Fire - Hyrule Castle.

Requires: Zelda's Lulluby, Bombs. Get past the guard gate leading to Hyrule Castle either by scaling the vines, or paying the guard 10 Rupees. Standing atop the guard gate, you should spot a large boulder against a small path that otherwise goes nowhere. Blow up the boulder and crawl under the space to reach your next spell: Din's Fire. Also needs to complete the game.

3. Great Fairy of Magic: Farore's Wind - Zora's Domain.

Requires: Zelda's Lullaby, Bombs, access to Zora's Domain. After getting Princess Ruto's letter in a bottle at Lake Hylia: show it to King Zora to access Zora's Domain. Look north-east of Lord Jabu-Jabu, to see an isolated area with trees. Swim over to it, and bomb the boulder to expose a huge opening. Enter as usual, and earn your third spell: Farore's Wind. Not at all essential to completing the game, but is a useful spell which acts as a specific warp point to any dungeon in the game. This spell can also be used to warp Adult Link to a warp point set by Young Link, and vice versa.

4. Great Fairy of Wisdom: Enhanced Magic - Death Mountain Crater.

Requires: Megaton Hammer. Only accessible as Adult Link. After acquiring the Megaton Hammer from the Fire Temple, head back towards the secret entrance from Goron City, and instead head left towards some red boulders. Clear them with the hammer, and go inside for your fourth magic spell; an enhanced magic meter. Twice as big as before. Very useful for the end of the game.

5. Great Fairy of Magic: Nayru's Love - Desert Colossus.

Requires: Zelda's Lullaby, Bombs, access to Desert Colossus. After passing the trials of the Haunted Wasteland, enter the Desert Colossus, and immediately head right towards a crack in a wall between two trees. Blow it up with a bomb, and enter for your fifth magic spell: Nayru's Love. Also not essential, but is extremely useful for less experienced players, and those playing the Master Quest version of this game. Requires a large amount of magic but lasts a decent length of time. Using this spell will surround Link with a barrier that prevents any damage for the duration of the spell, although Link will still flinch when hit.

6. Great Fairy of Courage: Enhanced Defence - Ganon's Castle.

Requires: Golden Gauntlets. After acquiring the Golden Gauntlets in the Shadow Trails of Inside Ganon's Castle, exit and head left towards a path with a dead end and a giant grey rock. Lift it away, and enter for the final spell: enhanced defence. Does exactly what it sounds like. Any damage done to Link will be cut in half. VERY useful for the final boss of the game, although not essential. Can only be got at the very end of the game, and only the GOLDEN Gauntlets will move that rock.
