Pakistan Road Trip & Photography with my Nikon D750 | A calm-chaotic travel diary

Visited north of Pakistan after living in Dubai for about 3 years- it had been on my bucket list since college. Pakistan is so immensely beautiful and soooo huge, it's hard to cover everything in a two week trip but this was more than sufficient for then.

We did a very bare minimum trip, cause it was affordable - with a tour bus group. The guest houses we stayed in very minimal and basic - and I did not film this at the time with the intention of making a proper travel vlog with information so none of that is available in this video. This is more a compilation of memories for me and the photos I took. It was so long ago I don't even remember the names of half the places anymore of the top of my head.

Some photos are from my iphone, but most are from the nikon D740 with a 24-70 f2.8 tamron lens

Only dad and I went on this trip cause the travel was quite tiring with 10-12 hours of bus travel between all locations, we were on the road most of the time. And the roads were quite dangerous too. When Ii go again I would probably book a personal tour so we can have the flexibility of movement. But honestly for the price it was way worth it.

Two things I loved most about the trip were, the people I met - most of them were so kind, humble and friendly and second - obvious THE VIEWS and how much of a tiny speck of dust they make you feel like. Puts everything into perspective. Really humbles you to see a minuscule glimpse of God's majesty.

Two things I did not like were;
One: Our own Pakistani tourists / travellers littering everywhere. I understand that there are already no infrastructures to support tourism and all the facets that come with it - but at least we as people can be responsible on our own.
Two: connecting to my first point - the lack of infrastructure - even basic bathroom facilities. Going on a road trip mostly is like going on a hike when you're out in the mountains and I understand that, you just have to do what you have to do - however, within the towns between stops where there are guest houses and stops, they structures were in shambles due to lack of support from government and relevant authorities.

nonetheless- Pakistani's are resourceful people and we make most of whatever's given to us so that's a big positive
