We were delighted to be presented with a prestigious Queen Elizabeth Prize for Education by Their Majesties The King and Queen at St James’s Palace.

The impressive award recognises the efforts of the team at the University’s Energy House Labs, innovating to enrich lives through their pioneering research driving innovation in sustainable building design and tackling fuel poverty.

Chair of Council Lord Keith Bradley, Vice-Chancellor Professor Nic Beech and Energy House Labs’ Professor Will Swan and Professor Richard Fitton attended the ceremony at the palace along with other members of the award-winning team. 

The Queen Elizabeth Prizes for Education are part of the UK national honours system, recognising at the highest level of state outstanding work in UK universities and colleges that demonstrates excellence, innovation and benefit for the institution and the wider world.
