The Congost de Mont-Rebei is a gorge formed by the River Noguera Ribagorsana as it passes through the Sierra del Montsec, which crosses from North to South. It is located between the counties of La Ribagorza (Aragón) and pallars Juss (Catalonia) and can be reached on a walk from different points, although the most popular access is that of "La Masieta"

The walking itinerary along the gorge is a unique experience, in the middle of rescales of almost 500 meters of elevation and with places where the width does not pass 20 meters. The horseshoe path dug into the rock that crosses the gorge has handrails and viewpoints to facilitate the visit. It is the last major gorge in the country in a state almost entirely intact.

The Congost de Mont-Rebei is a unique and spectacular place that is part of the Partial Nature Reserve of Noguera Ribagorsana-Mont-Rebei. It is located on the border between Aragon and Catalonia. To the west, there is the Baixa Ribagorca (Franja) and to the east the Pallars Juss and the Noguera (Catalonia). It is constituted in the narrowest part where the River Noguera Ribagorsana crosses the Montsec mountains. We toured on an excursion that lasts about 6-7 hours and is of unparalleled beauty. Adventurers can opt for hiking, kayaking, mountaineering, caving, and even the bike route to enjoy the incredible scenery of this virtually unspoiled natural area. Not suitable for people with vertigo.

Part of an absolutely spectacular setting, the Mont Rebei Gorge is a fantastic experience that we had In my case, I shared it with my group of excellent friends. It was a day of overwhelming heat, but the majesty of the walls, the natural polychrome of the landscapes, and the dizzying arrogance of the heights, both under our feet and above our heads, turned the day into an unrepeatable and satisfying adventure.
