Kauai was formed when the floating Pacific Tectonic Plate passed over a spewing magma hotspot!! It erupted for 5 MILLION YEARS, and when it was finished, Kauai was an island!! Kauai has been thriving for 5 million years, ever since!! Lush and green, this island is remarkable, especially how it was created!!
