Cancer diagnostics became more affordable and accessible in the last decade. Innovation in Molecular Imaging (Fee per PET Scan) reduced diagnosis cost. Innovation in business models evolved the hub and spoke model. 'Wizards of MI' brought many stakeholders together to make innovation in many aspects of diagnosis. Ayushman Bharat Insurance Scheme has improved financial access to the bottom 50% of income groups. However, basic cancer therapies like chemotherapy and radiotherapy is available only in 200 out of 750 districts. Cancer care requires long periods of patient attendance at therapy centers. Unless therapy is available close to patient, the inconvenience and disruption is leaving most patients giving up care. This video discusses what needs to be done to take care to patient and expand the cancer therapy market. Lessons in this video can also be applied to other acute care.
