Open Gate International Film Festival (OGIFF) strives to unite creatives from all corners of the globe to celebrate a shared passion for film.

This year, the OGIFF will be hosted at LOOK Dine-In Cinemas in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. We are committed to supporting emerging filmmakers whose work reflects bold storytelling and fresh perspectives.

Our mission is to showcase a variety of crafted films with the hope of bringing together other passionate creatives. Through a carefully curated lineup of categories, we aim to unite experiences, cultures, and talents to emphasize the shared love for film. As an Official Selection of OGIFF, participants gain access to Q&A panels with renowned filmmakers, actors, and industry professionals. The festival also features filmmaker Q&A sessions and an awards ceremony, spotlighting the best of up-and-coming talent.

Open Gate Screenwriting Competition

Attention storytellers! The inaugural Open Gate Screenwriting Competition invites submissions for short and feature-length scripts. This competition provides a unique opportunity for creative and visionary writers to connect with industry professionals—filmmakers, writers, actors, and producers—who also share a passion for groundbreaking storytelling.

Winners in both categories (“Best Short Script” and “Best Feature Script”) will be announced at our LIVE awards ceremony during the festival. Winning scripts, if produced, are guaranteed a screening at the 2026 Open Gate Film Festival (dates to be announced).
