Meet Art History Professor Tiziana Landra, an art historian and educator at SRISA (Santa Reparata International School of Art) whose teaching spans from the Italian Renaissance to contemporary art and neuroesthetics.

Her courses emphasize onsite, experiential learning, allowing students to study artworks directly in Florence’s museums, churches, and historic spaces. In Michelangelo, Bernini, and Caravaggio, students engage in focused, in-depth study of three major figures in art history, including a required field trip to Rome.

Professor Landra also teaches Neuroesthetics: Creativity and the Brain, an interdisciplinary course that explores how we perceive and create art through the lenses of neuroscience, philosophy, and psychology. Her teaching encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and exchange among students from diverse academic backgrounds.
