At 3pm Finnish time, Australia entered the new year 2025. Sydney will celebrate the new year with a spectacular rocket show around the Sydney Harbour Bridge. More than a million people were expected to watch the iconic celebration, according to the Guardian.

The cost of the spectacular fireworks display this year was a whopping 6.3 million Australian dollars, which is equivalent to about 3.7 million euros. However, according to executive producer Stephen Gilby, the show will generate 280 million dollars for the local economy, reports 9 News.
