We as humans beings have morals and ethics. Broken down, the difference between the two is that morals refer mainly to guiding principles, and ethics refer to specific rules and actions, or behaviors.
A moral precept is an idea or opinion that’s driven by a desire to be good. An ethical code is a set of rules that defines allowable actions or correct behavior.
First, we must master ourself and then we can master anything. These basic principles in reference to the combat mindset, are to survive and use violence only when absolutely necessary. We are challenged daily on the values we carry, and the laws we abide by. Knowledge is power, and so is the mastery of oneself. There is more factors to this combat mindset than explained in the video. This is a great start for civilians/members of the armed forces who can make a easy transition to advanced practices once the basics are covered.
