Grassenbiwak 2647m from Engelberg / At the Foot of the Titlis Mountain/ Alpine Hike /I Cancelled it!

Ascent to the Biwak on the Grassen is certainly not a walk in palk. The rock ledges that have to be climbed can be dangerous when wet, or snow (MY CASE!) though the most exposed are equipped with fixed ropes. The path runs over the sharp northeast ridge of the Tierberg. This airy section is narrow and somewhat exposed.

On Top you can enjoy the breathtaking view surrounding the Titlis massif.

Engelberg - Furen Alp Bahn Station - Herrenrüti - Firnalpeli - Gorisegg (4,5h ab Herrenrüti).

Unsuccessful hike due to conditions and my lack of equipment for the last part of the trail, the ridge was snowy, partly frozen. I decided NOT to continue, had a lunch a headed back down..

But I will be coming back for sure, such a nice & quiet place.
