Fold may be defined as a curved or zig-zag structure shown by rock beds. In other words, wavy undulation in the rock beds are called fold. They consist of arches and troughs in alternate manner .Folds are best display by the sedimentary rocks . The size of fold varies greatly width of some folds are measured in kilometres while other in meters or centimetres.
